Navigating through Disney Dreamlight Valley involves solving various story quests that restore peace and beauty to the realm. One of the most pivotal early storyline missions is the With Great Power quest, which introduces players to the mysterious Sea Witch Ursula and unlocks key areas along Dazzle Beach. Mastering this quest requires solving a sequence of environmental riddles inside the Mystical Cave to retrieve the lost Orb of Power.
Starting the Quest and Unlocking the Cursed Cave
To begin this quest, players must unlock the Dazzle Beach biome and speak with Merlin. He directs you to explore a dark cave on the eastern side of the beach, where Ursula is trapped behind dark magic. After conversing with Ursula, she hands over a Crystal Key that must be inserted into a stone device near the Mystical Cave entrance to open the path forward.
Solving the Mystical Cave Magic Gate Puzzles
Inside the Mystical Cave, players face three separate Magic Gates that block access to the bottom level. The first gate requires placing three specific gems—Peridot, Aquamarine, and Garnet—into matching statues. The second gate challenges players to plant and harvest three specific crops, which are Carrot, Wheat, and Tomato. Finally, the third gate is opened by cooking those harvested crops into a Veggie Pasta meal at the nearby stove and consuming it.
Retrieving the Orb of Power and Quest Rewards
After lowering all three Magic Gates, you reach the water at the bottom of the cave. Using your fishing rod, cast into the golden ripple to catch the Orb of Power. Take this orb outside and place it directly into the Pillar of Power on Dazzle Beach to cleanse the surrounding area of dark magic. Completing the mission awards players 1,000 Friendship Points with Merlin, unlocks Ursula as a villager, and grants access to further main story progression.
